(30 January 2025, Cologne, Germany) RTW, the leading audio-visualization company enabling audio engineers to make informed decisions in professional broadcast, production, post-production, and quality control, announces that its dialog-gated loudness measurement technology for TouchControl 5 is now available to all TouchControl 5 users as a free software update, enabling compliance with dialog-based specifications, which are aligned with Netflix delivery standards.

In addition to a dedicated Netflix loudness preset, TouchControl 5 users will get the ability to create custom loudness settings for other dialogue-based targets.

TouchControl 5 is the first hardware metering device to feature dialog-gated loudness. This functionality is included in the TouchControl 5 software version 1.3, which is available now.
