- Numerical display of all relevant values like M, S, I, LRA, TPmax, Mmax, Smax, Itime

Real Time Analyzer
Monitor the universal quality of your sound
SW20003
Like the human ear senses an audio signal, the RTA (Real Time Analyzer) displays the spectral content of the selected input channel(s) using 31 filter bands in 1/3 octave steps, 61 filter bands in 1/6 octave steps or 120 filter bands in 1/12 octave steps.
Similar to an oscilloscope, it measures the magnitude of an input signal versus frequency within the full frequency range of the instrument.
- Display of the spectral content of one or more input channel(s)
- Filter bands in 1/3 octave, 1/6 octave, or 1/12 octave steps
- Switchable H band, selectable low frequency range
Surround Sound Analyzer
The unique, need-to-have tool
SW20004
Unique to the TouchMonitor, the Surrond Sound Analyzer is a pioneering and unique visualisation tool showing the relevant technical and subjective parameters of surround signals in a fast and intuitive way.
- Comprehensive, yet compact overview of multichannel audio signals up to 7.1
- Easily read the perceived acoustic focal point
- Phase Correlation and LFE phase warning to avoid downmix errors
The Surround Sound Analyzer displays a correctly-scaled graphical representation of the relative volumes in the surround sound field.
The interaction of levels (volume, sound pressure level, or loaudness) and the correlation of all channels in the overall surround sound is displayed graphically, providing a very clear overview.
The graphical display has been carefully designed so that the dynamic behaviour of all display elements corresponds to the subjective listening impression, showing the balance of the surround program intuitively and at a glance.

Radar Display
The unique high resolution circular Loudness visualization
SW20005
The Radar instrument, developed by TC Electronic, is a high-resolution display of momentary loudness and loudness history in a single, unique Radar view. The circular, color-coded display makes it easy to balance audio visually and to see when level falls below or exceeds the end-listener's loudness range tolerance.
- High-resolution circular loudness display (Radar)
- Display of momentary loudness and loudness history
- TruePeak warning and numerical descriptors with selectable value types
The moving outer ring of the instrument represents the Momentary loudness value changing its color when passing the Target Level. The area inside of this ring showing concentric circles is called Radar view and represents the Shortterm loudness history (1 minute to 24 hours). The thicker circle represents the Target Level, its outer part shows exceedings, the inner part shortfalls.
It is a tremendous help for a mixing engineer or a video editor to know which radar area to stay inside. For example, film sound may fall outside the normal broadcast expectations.
The radar is complemented by a true-peak warning and by two descriptors to characterize the entire loudness ‘landscape’ of a program, film or music track precisely. By default, the numbers displayed are program loudness and loudness range.
Premium PPM and Vectorscope
Still better measuring with special scales and audio vectorscope
SW20006
The Premium PPM and Vectorscope license expands the Basic 4-channel PPM (standard software) with additional scales (Zoom, SMPTE, NHK, ARD+9, et al.), additional display modes (segment, classic), and PPM/VU moving coil instruments with different scales and functions. It also provides up to four 2-channel Audio Vectorscopes and a separate phase meter.
With Multichannel Mode license (SW20001) installed, the Multichannel PPM is also extended with the functions of the Premium PPM. Then, the Multi-Correlator with up to 10 phase meters is available.
- Full implementations of the latest loudness standards and recommendations
- Bargraphs for summed Loudness with Momentary, Shortterm, Integrated values, and Loudness Range (LRA)
- Numerical display of all relevant values like M, S, I, LRA, TPmax, Mmax, Smax, Itime

Timecode Reader
Decode and display SDI embedded or LTC timecode
SW20008
The Timecode Reader license provides the Timecode function as a separate mode generating an individual audio group providing the Timecode Reader instrument. It is used to decode and to display an SDI-embedded or LTC timecode using the 3G-SDI interface (if installed) or one of the selectable audio inputs.
With the activated Loudness and SPL Display license (SW20002), it can be used with Loudness and Logging applications. Then, the Loud. Recal. instrument for the control of a loudness measurement by a timecode either with recalcualtion or without is available.
- Decoding and display of SDI-embedded or LTC timecode
- Timecode controlled loudness measurements (with SW20002)
- Continuous recalculation (with SW20002)
BLITS
Generate and comprehensively analyze test signals
SW20013
The BLITS instrument is used for analyzing of BLITS signals and for generating BLITS and Stereo Ident signals (EBU-3304, GLITS). The especially developed analyzer for the BLITS test tone sequence allows a user friendly and comprehensive analysis and display of level, channel allocation, phase, delay and polarity of incoming digital audio signals in 5.1 mode.
- Generating BLITS and Stereo Ident signals
- Comprehensive analysis of incoming BLITS signals
- Display of signal quality
BLITS (Black & Lane's Ident Tones für Surround) is a tool to allow testing for channel allocation, level and phase of 5.1 surround signals. Developed by Martin Black and Keith Lane from Sky TV in London in 2004, this sequence is widely used in international broadcasting.

Logging Data Server & Chart
Log and document loudness over time
SW20014
The Logging Data Server license expands the feature set of your TouchMonitor with the Logging and Chart instruments (Loudness and SPL Display license (SW20002) required).
- Logging and documentation of loudness measurements
- Comprehensive analysis of the loudness course
- Optional recalculation
The Logging instrument collects data of Loudness and TruePeak measurements of up to two audio groups of a preset and allows you to store it on a USB flash drive or to send it via IP connection to the free LQL - Loudness Quality Logger PC software for analyzing.
The Loudness Chart instrument is used for displaying and analyzing loudness measurement over time directly on TouchMonitors display.
If the Timecode Reader licence (SW20008) is enabled, loudness measurements can also be controlled via timecode, including the option of having it recalculated in case the same time span is measured repeatedly.

Immersive Sound Analyzer
Intuitive detection of the spatial balance of immersive surround programs
SW20015
he face of the license is the ISA - Immersive Sound Analyzer. It combines the features of two Surround Sound Analyzers and visualizes the relationship between the instruments. So all relevant technical and subjective parameters of formats like 5.1.2, 5.1.4, 7.1.2 or 7.1.4 evaluated in a fast and intuitive way. ISA also allows overall loudness measurement across audio groups.
- Comprehensive, yet compact overview of immersive audio signals
- Easily read the perceived spatial focal point
- Phase Correlation and LFE phase warning to avoid downmix errors
Main components of these formats are the two layers called Main Bed and Upper Bed. The Main Bed includes the 5.1 or 7.1 part of the surround format, the Upper Bed the 2.0 or 4.0 part. On the ISA, the beds are represented by overlaying displays each similar to a Surround Sound Analyzer. A variable moving point gives response about the loudness relationship between the beds resp. the position and height of the dominant signal and the subjective perceived spatial focal point.
